Dr. Richard A. McFarland received his undergraduate training at Baylor University where he was a member of the varsity football team.. He attended dental school at the University of Texas at Houston and was elected to membership in the Omicron Kappa Epsilon National Dental Honor Society. Following his graduation, he entered the orthodontic program and received a Masters in Orthodontics. He is active in many professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. Dr. McFarland is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He helped develop his current system of braces, which is used by thousands of orthodontists all over the world.
Dr. McFarland has two children; Lauren, who attends Baylor University, and Lindsey, who is a teacher at Liberty Christian.
