We had an amazing time last week on our mission trip to Guatemala. We have been leading these trips since 2003 and have grown to love the Guatemalan people deeply. They are some of the most loving people we've had the pleasure of knowing.
This was the first year to help the people in Los Trojes. 700 families live in this very poor village. They don't have clean water to drink and we were able to meet with the President and Vice President of the village and believe we may be able to help bring clean water to them in the future.
We performed dentistry and dermatology, had a health fair in San Juan Sacatepequez, built a widows house, installed Guatemalan stoves in 16 houses, taught VBS, had a women's conference, and handed out 75 egg laying chickens and two pigs.
We are also building a medical dental clinic in San Juan and were able to see the progress while we were there.
We have always known that because we have been given so much, that much is expected of us to give back to others. We thank God for the partnerships He has given us with the wonderful people of Guatemala.
